DS-279W: My Initial Thoughts! (Coming from a decidedly older monitor)

Okay, so I finally upgraded from my ancient ViewEra V191BN2. You know, the little square-ish one? It served me well, but boy, oh boy, what a difference! The DS-279W's 27" screen is just massive in comparison, and the resolution? Forget about it! I can actually have multiple windows open now without feeling claustrophobic. I mostly wanted something that would give me better colour accuracy and let me tell you, it's like night and day. I think it's the IPS panel that does it, but I can't believe I waited so long. I also like that it's got FreeSync Premium Pro and is G-Sync compatible, although I'm not a huge gamer myself. Maybe I'll try something more intense than *Candy Crush* now, haha! I've seen people talking about the [ASUS TUF Gaming VG27AQ](/monitors/asus/tuf-gaming-vg27aq) but I am pretty happy with what I got. Anyone else made the leap to a bigger monitor recently? What are your thoughts?
