Alright, folks, finally got my hands on the OMEN 27k! I've been rocking an Omen 32c for a while now, that ultrawide curve is just *chef's kiss*, and I also have the ZOWIE XL2566X+ for when I need that super-fast refresh. So, stepping into the 4K world with the 27k is... interesting. The clarity, oh man, the clarity! 4K at 27" is a treat, things are so crisp. I was worried about the size, but it's working well for me. The colors pop. I'm actually quite impressed by the built-in speakers, they're decent enough for casual listening, a surprising bonus. I still prefer my headphones of course. 144Hz refresh rate isn't the 400Hz I'm used to on the Zowie, but it's certainly smooth enough, especially paired with FreeSync. All in all, a great monitor, but is it the best? Hard to say after just a few hours use.
