Samsung Announces Next-Gen QD-OLED Monitors for 2026
Samsung has officially announced its 2026 lineup of QD-OLED gaming monitors, featuring significant improvements in brightness and longevity over the previous generation.
The new panels promise peak brightness of up to 2,000 nits in HDR mode, a substantial jump from the 1,300 nits offered by current models. More importantly, Samsung claims to have reduced the risk of burn-in by 40% through improved organic materials and refined pixel refresh algorithms.
Key Improvements
The third-generation QD-OLED panels feature a new blue emitter that increases efficiency while reducing heat generation. This translates to longer panel life and more consistent color accuracy over time.
Pricing is expected to be competitive with LG's WOLED offerings, with the 27-inch model starting at $899 and the 32-inch ultrawide at $1,299.
Availability
Samsung expects the new monitors to hit retail shelves in Q2 2026, with pre-orders opening in March.
